| The Guillotine Replica by Glenn Neher | |||
![]() This replica of the original Aurora Chamber of Horrors Guillotine was made at 1/6 scale, 2.5 times larger than the original. Built by Glenn Neher, he measured out each and every piece with calipers, then set about the task of re-making the Aurora classic! |
![]() Built from solid oak, one of these fantastic replicas resides in a museum in Switzerland. |
As you can see, the victims are several different men which shows us the various kits that were built. I can't tell you how excited I would have been as a kid to see these things! |
|
![]() The detail is impeccable, unlike anything I've ever seen before. |

| Models by John Graziano | |||
![]() One of the finest paint jobs I'ver ever seen was done by Ripley's Believe it Or Not Illustrator John Graziano. More about John on this page. |
![]() Beautiful detailing on the base and especially on Dracula's face. Note how he gets the resemblance to Bela Lugosi by adding his own painting techniques. |
|
|
![]() A beautifully stated rendition of "The Mummy." I love the techniques and the overall feeling of old musty cloths. The facial detail is great too. |
![]() A custom sculpt of James Mason and the cavernous centre of the earth! |

![]() Built by yours truly in 1993, I took 2 Monogram kits of the Jurassic Park Velociraptors, then modified the 2nd model. I used a fine hacksaw, putty, and aluminum foil to resculpt the neck, and to turn the head of the raptor. I built the bases out of modeling clay. |
![]() Afterward, complete with photoshopped background, are the Raptors. I also manipulated the front arms to be in different positions. |
![]() I began experimenting with this "Alien" kit from Halcyon. For the egg detail I used chewing gum and cotton shreds stretched with an exacto knife to create a slime effect. Outside the egg, I used candle wax drips. |
|
![]() My completed Alien with hot-knife glue saliva. I had built an elaborate diorama out of clay, but it fell victim to a tragic accident so it's not featured here. Sadly, the diorama featured a depleted scorpion alien and dynamic background. |

![]() "Genni Cide" custom build up. Genni-Cide is an original character for a table-top RPG. The kit was made using a generic, resin 'Heroic Female Blank' figure, and the base from a Revell re-issue of the Aurora "Robin" kit. The details were sculpted in epoxy putty, with sundry model car parts used to create the laser whip handle and belt holster. The laser whip beam is a model sprue, heated, bent and sprayed with dayglow red. |
![]() One of my favorite movies has been heralded in a great model. This is a very nice build-up. |
![]() Vampi with a customized diorama. |
|
![]() Steve Mollett took the Gold award for this design in the 1999 WonderFest USA Amazing Model Contest in the Customized Action Figure category. Steve also designed thematic packaging and a slew of accessories. More on this figure here |
![]() Princess Ananka and The Mummy. A great set together. |
